Sales Account Manager

As an Sales Account Manager you will be responsible for building and cultivating client relationships, managing client accounts and satisfaction, and driving long-term client profitability through problem identification, solving and consultative selling. You will provide a high-touch, consultative communication channel to clients as well, lead meetings, respond to non-technical requests, and recommend improvements that will help clients leverage technology to achieve their business goals.

This is a vital ownership role within the organization responsible for facilitating client needs via project management, procurement, sales, or project engineering departments to best accomplish goals at hand.


Essential Duties:

  • Conduct systematic client strategy meetings with open communication
  • Perform regular account reviews to ensure highest value-add to clients
  • Anticipate needs and bring value to the client; manage evolution of needs
  • Work with sales engineering and procurement to identify / order equipment, and with project management team and field services to fulfill requests
  • Embody effective change management for transitions and change at client

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years:
  • Sales and proposal/presentation writing experience
  • Account management experience
  • Understand IT business analytics, specifically the review of reliability, responsiveness, support trends and other key technical measurements
  • Experience understanding client business needs and/or problem areas
  • Ability to understand technical information to effectively relay to non-technical personnel
  • Aptitude to establish/report relationships and work with people at senior levels in client organizations
  • Consulting level knowledge of current best practices in PC, server and peripheral hardware and applications
  • Stellar time management skills
  • Analyze processes/situations and provide customer-specific recommendations for improvement
